Back to driversOwner-operators run their business. We run the freight desk. If you own your truck and your trailer — flatbed, gooseneck, or deck-over — and want to put both to work without giving up control, we'd like to talk. This is a partnership for owner-ops who already know what they're doing — who can plan their own week, secure their own loads, and want a steady source of freight that respects their independence.

How the partnership works
You own the truck and the trailer. We run the freight desk. Flatbed or hotshot, the partnership is the same.
You'll talk to the same dispatchers our company drivers talk to. No middle layer of fleet managers, no incentive games. If a load isn't right for your week, you say so.
The right fit
Owner-operators who are already running their business well — paid up on insurance, maintaining their equipment, planning their weeks ahead. We're not the place to learn the role.
If you're tired of being treated like a number at a megacarrier and you want a freight partner that knows your name and your truck, this is the conversation worth having.
How freight gets to you
Loads come from our customer relationships first and broker work second. We talk to you about your preferred lanes, the kind of freight you want, and the pace you want to run.
Pay structure, fuel arrangements, and settlement details get walked through during the application conversation. You'll know exactly what you're signing before you sign it.
Equipment + specifics
Truck and trailer (flatbed, gooseneck, or deck-over) in good running condition, current insurance, clean compliance record, and the experience to run without supervision.
If you're close on the requirements but not quite there, tell us anyway. Sometimes the gap is smaller than it looks once we talk it through.

Other lanes
Flatbed
Flatbed is open-deck work — steel, lumber, machinery, anything that won't fit in a box. It takes a driver who knows how to tarp in the rain, throw a chain on an uneven load, and catch a mistake in the paperwork before it becomes a problem at the gate.
Hotshot
Hotshot is time-sensitive freight — the loads a customer pays a premium to move right now, on a truck that can get on the road fast. Hotshot at Onyx is owner-operator work.
