Dry Van
Reliable dry van service across all 48 states, built around experienced drivers, well-maintained equipment, and a direct-shipper approach that keeps freight moving without unnecessary complexity.
Dry van is one of the most common freight modes in trucking, which means shippers have plenty of options. What sets Safe Way Carrier apart isn't the trailer type. It's the operation behind it.
Since 2011, we've run dry van freight with the same standards we apply to everything else: experienced drivers, in-house maintenance, and a preference for direct shipper relationships over brokered hand-offs. The majority of our dry van work is drop-and-hook, which keeps freight moving efficiently and minimizes handling time on both ends. When a shipper needs consistency and communication, that's what we show up with.
We run OTR across all 48 states. Whether it's a recurring lane or a one-time move, we approach every load the same way, as a relationship worth maintaining.

Drop-and-Hook Accounts
The bulk of our dry van operation runs on drop-and-hook accounts. For shippers, that means faster turnaround, less driver wait time, and a more predictable freight experience. For us, it means we can keep our drivers moving and our lanes running efficiently. It's a model that works well for everyone involved, and it's one we've built our dry van operation around.

Our Equipment
Safe Way Carrier runs newer dry van trailers maintained by our in-house shop. Our drivers operate Freightliner Cascadias, Kenworth T680s, and Peterbilts — late-model trucks equipped with APUs, cabin heaters, refrigerators, and power inverters. Our 24-hour dedicated service line means that when something comes up on the road, our drivers are talking to a real person, not an answering service.

Our Drivers
Dry van freight is only as reliable as the people hauling it. Safe Way Carrier drivers average 3–4+ years of tenure — a retention rate that reflects how we treat the people behind the wheel. Experienced drivers who know their lanes and their freight are less likely to create problems and more likely to solve them when they come up.
We require a minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience and maintain clear MVR standards. When a Safe Way Carrier driver shows up for your freight, you're getting someone who knows what they're doing.
Working Directly With Shippers
We work directly with shippers whenever possible. Direct relationships mean cleaner communication, faster problem resolution, and accountability that doesn't get diluted through a chain of intermediaries.
